For over a year, the Trump administration has patiently

The Trump administration raised the stakes in its trade war with China on Tuesday, saying it would slap 10 per cent tariffs on an extra USD 200 billion worth of Chinese imports.Although it was not a direct reaction to the new move from Trump&Rubber Products Suppliers39;s administration, the official English-language newspaper China Daily said in an editorial that Beijing had to stand up to Washington.US officials released a list of thousands of Chinese imports the administration wants to hit with the tariffs, including hundreds of food products as well as tobacco, chemicals, coal, steel and aluminium. There was no immediate reaction from the Chinese government.

Consumers, businesses and the American jobs dependent on trade, are left in the crosshairs of an escalating global trade war," said Hun Quach, the head of international trade policy for the group. It has to resolutely fight back while taking proper measures to help minimize the غير مجاز مي باشدt to domestic enterprises and further open up its economy to global investors," it said. There is no justification for such action," he said in a statement."Rather than address our legitimate concerns, China has begun to retaliate against US products ."China has no option but to fight fire with fire.'""American families are the ones being punished.

It will also result in retaliatory tariffs, further hurting American workers," a Chamber spokeswoman said..President Donald Trump has said he may ultimately impose tariffs on more than USD 500 billion worth of Chinese goods - roughly the total amount of US imports from China last year.."The US Chamber of Commerce has supported Trump's domestic tax cuts and efforts to reduce regulation of businesses, but it has been critical of Trump's aggressive tariff policies.Investors fear an escalating trade war between the world's two biggest economies could hit global growth. Last week, Washington imposed 25 per cent tariffs on USD 34 billion of Chinese imports, and Beijing responded immediately with matching tariffs on the same amount of US exports to China. It also includes consumer goods ranging from car tyres, furniture, wood products, handbags and suitcases, to dog and cat food, baseball gloves, carpets, doors, bicycles, skis, golf bags, toilet paper and beauty products. The Retail Industry Leaders Association, a lobby group representing the largest US retailers, said: "The president has broken his promise to bring 'maximum pain on China, minimum pain on consumers.Last week, # Washington imposed 25 per cent tariffs on USD 34 billion of Chinese imports, and Beijing responded immediately with matching tariffs on the same amount of US exports to China.'Tariffs Are Taxes'Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch, a senior member of Trump's Republican Party, said the announcement "appears reckless and is not a targeted approach.

"For over a year, the Trump administration has patiently urged China to stop its unfair practices, open its market, and engage in true market competition," US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer said in announcing the proposed tariffs. Imposing taxes on another USD 200 billion worth of products will raise the غير مجاز مي باشدts of every day goods for American families, farmers, ranchers, workers, and job creators. The tariffs will not be imposed until after a two-month period of public comment on the proposed list, but some US business groups and senior lawmakers were quick to criticize the move

Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is another strong

He would have to step down from that role and be elected to the National Assembly before he was eligible to become prime minister.Speculation this week that he could be about to resign his seat has heightened the intrigue surrounding his relationship with Sharif. He has also worked as deputy chairman of the Planning Commission from 1998 to 1999 during Sharif&China Grommet Manufacturers39;s second term.Shahbaz is considered more intelligent but less charismatic than his older brother. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, a stalwart of the PML-N, was until recently considered the prime candidate to succeed Sharif.Iqbal is considered the development brains of the party and a visionary leader. He has controlled Punjab Pakistan's most populous and prosperous province for much of the last decade, presiding over a series of big ticket infrastructure projects, including Pakistan's first metro bus service. He currently heads the federal planning and development ministry, having previously served as minister for education and minorities.

He was elected to the National Assembly from his home district of Sialkot - an important manufacturing centre in Punjab province since 1993.. (Photo: File) Islamabad: Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was Friday ousted from the top office by the Supreme Court, but as the head of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party he will be able to nominate his successor. But relations between the two have recently cooled, with some sources suggesting that Sharif is concerned that the vocal Nisar could be positioning himself to wrest control of the party from the embattled prime minister. He is viewed as a strong critic of the powerful military and commentators say that his hardline stance against the army has created problems for Sharif. The former banker has held a series of key positions within the PML-N since 1991.Sadiq began his political career as a supporter of Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf party, but quit to contest the 2002 elections on a PML-N ticket. His daughter Maryam Nawaz is commonly touted as his political heir, but she does not currently hold elected office so cannot be a candidate this time around. Speculation within the vocal local media suggests that the party is planning to bring in an interim prime minister for a few weeks.

That will require a party loyalist to resign from his seat in the national parliament, sparking a hasty vote that Shahbaz would contest on the PML-N ticket.Khawaja Muhammad Asif: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif is one of the most trusted allies of the outgoing prime minister and considered the mostly likely to succeed him.Unlike Sharif's other key allies, Nisar has close ties with the powerful military, often serving as broker between the two a relationship that would serve Nisar well if he decided to make an independent bid for the top office.Sadiq lost the seat two years later following allegations of vote rigging, only to be re-elected in a by-election, narrowly beating another close aide of Khan.Sardar Ayaz Sadiq: The speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is another strong candidate for next prime minister who is said to have the ear of the ruling Sharif family. He was restored as the speaker after his re-election. Pakistani politics often see dark horses emerge, but the most likely candidates for the country's next prime minister are as follows:Shahbaz Sharif: Speculation within the vocal local media suggests that the party is planning to bring in an interim prime minister for a few weeks before electing Sharif's younger brother Shahbaz Sharif to the post.Ahsan Iqbal: A US-educated lawmaker, Ahsan Iqbal hails from a political family that has long been associated with Sharif's PML-N party.Sadiq gained Sharif's trust after he defeated the PML-N leader's main rival, cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, in a hotly contested race for a Lahore seat in the 2013 general election.

Undeterred, he broke right back

Ramkumar, debutant Prajnesh win their singles rubbers to give India 2-0 lead over Uzbekistan. Ram then hit four double faults in the 12th game and failed to clear the net twice to concede the set 5-7. With his movements restricted, Ramkumar then broke twice and wrapped up the set 6-2. Ramkumar Ramanathan celebrates after his win over Uzbekistan’s Temur Isamilov in India’s Group I Davis Cup tie in Bengaluru.Ismailov surrendered his serve in the third game and again in the fifth to concede the set to Ramkumar 2-6.The two results gave India and debutant captain Mahesh Bhupathi a winning 2-0 start and left the door open for the hosts to shut out the tie.

In the fourth set, Ramkumar, struggling to hold serve in the previous game, broke to take a 6-5 lead but true to his form, double faulted on match point but sealed the win with a volley. With the 22-year-old Fayziev hit by fatigue, the Indian wrapped it up 6-3.While Fayziev’s movements improved markedly in the fourth set following a medical timeout,he was no match for the left-hander, who broke early and China Silicone Rubber O-Rings Suppliers kept up the pace to clinch the rubber..The second set saw the duo play some solid service games before Ismailov netted a return to give the Indian a 4-3 advantage.THE ASIAN AGE.Fayziev came back into the contest, opening a 3-1 lead in the second and wrapping it up 6-3 with minimum fuss.Prajnesh, showing no signs of panic despite the occasion, broke in the 11th game before serving out the first set 7-5. (Photo: Shahidhar B.After Ramanathan gave India the first tie with a disjointed 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 win, Prajnesh produced a performance that was more fluid and decisive to register a 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 on his debut.

Earlier, the Indian number one was the definition of inconsistency as he served aces and double faults with consummate ease to finish with 16 aces and 14 double faults to make the match a three hour, 14 minute struggleWhile both gave signs of formidable serving early, it didn’t take long before they gave indication of just how small the margin of error was in their game.

Undeterred, he broke right back, with strong assistance from Ram who double faulted twice in a row and netted a volley. Just as it seemed like the script was set to continue for the rest of the match, Ismailov called for a medical time out in the third set to deal with a thigh niggle. From then on, Ismailov targeted the almost non-existent backhand of the Indian but his inability to land deep crosscourt shots forced him to save two breaks. He continued in the same fashion in the third to break in the first game and save two breaks in the fourth to hold on 3-1

They know what they want, and have multiple avenues

Educating your customer is the key to retaining them. Designer Vidhi Singhania mentions, “Fast fashion brands and e-commerce retail platforms have disrupted the industry by meeting a previously untapped consumer need for trendy clothing for a lower price. When it comes to pleasing the mercurial millennial and the following Generation Z, there is nothing fixed about what they like and what they don’t.Social media plays an important role and so does Bollywood. The rise of well-informed customers, asking for sustainable, fit for all colours, body type, and culturally correct brands, has led to the downfall of many iconic labels that thrived on promoting a certain idea of fashion and beauty. To remain relevant is a huge challenge.

This certainly is a tough time for fashion, and a lot of design houses are changing their design philosophy to appeal to new target groups in order to sustain. The business strategies need to change, and instead of being exclusive the brands have to get more inclusive to widen their consumer base.

She says, “Not just fashion, but overall the consumers today prefer product customisation matching individual preferences and needs. For every design and sample, the customer is provided with various customisation in terms of fabric, colours, embellishments. Therefore, the time spent on personal customisation is compensated as well. Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities have worn them to red carpet غير مجاز مي باشدas, fashion shows, press conferences, and very important events, bringing the humble sari once again to the forefront of the world fashion.” To stay relevant, the design chains will need to start catering to the bespoke needs of customers. The biggest change in the industry is that the customer is now looking for the value of money.Sari, he says, is versatile and can be draped in many ways from traditional to fun, sporty or business.”. As a designer, I focus on making more design creatives and stay away from mass production. Same is for the fashion industry. The sooner designers adapt to customer first (and not designer first) approach, the better it would be for them to adapt with times to stay relevant,” predicts Hassija. In India, the fashion industry is uniquely competitive and brands that don’t innovate fast enough will be left behind. She says, “To appeal to the younger buyers, designers have to add a contemporary twist and make the products more versatile.Globally, a lot of trends and ideas have already been tried, and designers are struggling to generate new ideas.“Yes, it is a tough time for fashion considering the number of options that a customer has but most importantly today’s customer is well informed. With the excess of options, it seems designers are running out of trends, and now anything and everything that could possibly fall under the “opposite of fashion” category is being promoted on the runway for novelty. However, if the attitude towards fashion needs to change, designers have to innovate and experiment with ideas to stay in sync with changing trends, believes celebrity stylist Nidhi Singh. No longer can the trend be governed by a seasonal collection of a handful of large fashion chains. As fast fashion catches up with people across the globe, the demand and supply for customised designer wear and luxury products have gone down drastically. Could this be a downfall of fast fashion? We find out what Indian designers have to say about the lack of innovation in the fashion industry.

Coming years will see a decline in sales of high priced common design brands.”Brands are now spending a sizeable amount to create awareness among consumers and trying to explain and educate them about what are they buying. These brands can turn around new products in fewer than six weeks from conception to shelf, and their success is forcing the rest of the fashion world to keep up.In India, people are willing to spend money on quality apparel, heirloom, special weaves, and other hand-made products, so the authentic brands will still continue to be in demand. Designer Dharna Hassija highlights that the new age consumer is well informed and the choices are not restricted by a publicised trend in magazines, newspaper or otherwise. They are aware of what they are buying and what they want. The sari has made inroads all around the world. Customers are willing to pay for good service. If a brand needs to stand out in today’s time, the best way is to be original and accessible for all. While last year we saw the rise of trends like normcore, ugly fashion trends like dad sneakers, shredded jeans, and silicone rubber Manufacturers prairie dress coming back in vogue – the trend predictions for 2019 also look obscure. At the same time, it can be difficult to keep up with the world of fashion, as we are no longer governed by the extreme social standard that dictates how we can and cannot dress.Interestingly, a lot of brands did innovate themselves including designer labels that are creating affordable pret lines to cater to the fast fashion trend.

They know what they want, and have multiple avenues to get it. In my opinion, this is the most beautiful change that the industry is seeing as it gives rise to the democratisation of fashion. This need for personalisation and adaptability to various trends allows designers to stay true to their own creative inspirations and not blindly follow the trend. Designer brands all over the world are having a tough time sustaining the war of trends because the new age consumer is well aware of his/ her needs. The process of selling one collection fits all will soon disappear. In fact, fashion trends are changing rapidly every season so when a new trend is discovered others are forgotten. Due to changing millennial trends, in the last few years, we have seen a rise in the number of young girls coming to our store and buying saris,” explains designer Vidhi Singhania. “The bespoke trend is already visible and soon will catch up in the bridal market as well
